Only complaint is that the battery lasts less than 2 hours with normal use - 3.75 hours not indicated. We keep ours plugged in for the most part, and the use of fire, if necessary. After installing an update from Trend Micro and bricking my PC (which I was able to overcome after 8 + hours of repairs and modifications to the system firewall), I had enough and decided 'were made with Microsoft. I was with the MacBook Pro 15 for a little 'less than a week, and so far I am happy that I made the switch. Obviously, there's a steep premium on the MacBook Pro, so I will try to cover items that the value of the extra money, and some problems that I met for the first time Mac users.

I switched to Mac about 5 years ago and I use several Mac (Powerbook G4 1.66 GHz, 2.0 GHz Mac mini, MacBook Pro, 2.5 GHz (pre-unibody) Unibody Macbook Pro 2.66 GHz). I manually updated the MBP with Seagate Momentus 7200 RPM (no anti-shock version) with 500 GB and has been great so far. The model monocoque construction quality appears to be significantly better than previous versions, and the larger trackpad is a joy to use.

Acer Aspire AS1410-8414 11.6-Inch Sapphire Blue Laptop - 6 Hour Battery Life Reviewed by K. Young (Canada)

I have owned a HP 2133 Mininote and ASUS 1000H, but the Acer 1410 seems to be the perfect solution Netbook. Unit size is much larger than 10.2 "netbooks, but with high resolution 11.6" screen is a pleasure to use for 50 + eyes. Power Core 2 Solo is much better than the atom is only a slight reduction in battery life. Battery life is even better (8 hours instead of 6 hours), 5600 amps when the battery is available in North America as in Europe. 1410 is thinner than one of my other Netbooks and weight about the same.
